I will overwhelm 'serious combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Former twice world boxing king Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Interaction
Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
However, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning massive paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
